morning all
just waiting on the sun to warm up outside and going to replace drivers side blend motor as i have no heat on drivers side,

going by all the searches i have done it seem the plastic ducting that is in the way is really of no use as it just feeds the pathetic rear vents
so i have new cutter bits for dremel and intend to just cut the whole frigging lot out the way n just gaffer tape it up..

anyone see a problem with me doing that?

cheers

I doubt your be the first person who's done it!!!! As you say it only feeds the rear vents. I know call this pathetic but mine seem to work really well. Just make sure you get a good seal as otherwise you may always get air in the footwell when the face vents are selected. It's not like it's very high pressure so I'm guessing Gaffer tap will be strong enough. I've got a Lotus Carlton and the sound proofing around the tunnel at the front is all cut about and gaffered taped up and that's how they were made!!!! Good old gaffer it fixes a multiple of sins!!!!
