Bleedin Brakes!!!

The brakes on my series are still pretty grim, but good enough to pass the MOT yesterday (With flying colours!)




So methinks bleeding them again with fresh fluid might help....


Now what is the 'correct' was to do a series, ie, slacken em or dont slacken em all, then bleed fronts first then rears, vice versa, or what???

Hi there first of all adjust the brakes then bleed the n/s rear then o/s rear then n/s front and finally o/s front one by one.

i found that it worked better for me if you backed all the adjusters off, then bled as above, then adjusted the brakes, the only reason i tried it this way was because with the adusters backed off the cylinders should be fully compressed and therefore reduce the chances of trapping any air in them when bleeding (correct me if i am wrong!)

Get a Ezbleed kit and follow the order in Haines

They should always be bled furthest away from the master cylinder first. So as someone above said, R NS, R OS, F NS, F OS.

EZ bleed, or get a tube, make a slit in it and put a bolt in the end. Put this tube (covering the slit) into a jar of brake fluid. The fluid will pump out, but no air will be able to get back in.
