We just bought a 2000 Blazer. After driving it for awhile we noticed
that the gas pedal is very low. Since we're both quite short, it really
aches our legs after awhile. If we move the seat forward, then the
brake pedal which sits out a good 2 inches or so above the gas pedal
requires scrunching our right leg back to make room to press the brake.

I called the Chevy dealer and they said that the gas pedal height cannot
be modified. I keep thinking of the kid in 'Indiana Jones' using a
block of wood on the gas pedal.

Are there any after market or home-made solutions to this problem?
Other than the gas pedal we love the vehicle. It came from a single
owner (checked 'carfax') and he took obsessively good care of the
vehicle so we bought it despite this deficiency.
