hi

I do have another thread underway but I really need some help with this am getting desperate now and am going to have trouble getting to work.

My TD4 2006 recently blew an injector out.

I have changed the injector. It has a new spin Crank filter, a new air filter, new Inter Cooler hoses
new maf
it is smoking like a bugger at 1500 revs upward, I really don't know what to do now

It the new injector working and not sticking open?
Have you monitored the live data from the various sensors?

Check the intercooler it's self is not holed or cracked, or even full of oil, remove all intercooler hoses and double check them, also EGR hoses this will only cost you time, and also eliminate the above, the new MAF is it a bosch or pierburg do you have a synergy connected ?

ok ?please dont kill me !!!! are the nuts that hold the intake manifold down nice and tight some kind of special fit? Does anyone know what size thread they are, I think it will really help my car run if I re fit them, :-0 ooops there was enough air going in thru the bottom of the manifold to let the car run with totally blocked intake pipes( I put my hand over the end of the egr !!! this may well be the problem !!!

are they a funny sized nut? I mean the ones that sit between the intake pipes

cannot for the life of me work out why the old ones have failed unless it is becuse they are copper and removing them screws them up, they feel like they have become too big for the thread on the studs

The nuts should fit the studs perfectly and not undo by themselves. Is your manifold clear and not clogged? Is it possible that a previous owner loosened the nuts to make the engine run with a choked up manifold?
