Black bung on head loose

Front of head the black bung, what holds it tight as mine is leaking and I can pull it out.

That'll be your cam shaft oil seal, not expensive.
The o-ring holds it in place, but sounds like your o-ring has gone flat...

Ps there's also one at the back of the engine.

That's what it looks like, so new oil seal next weekend

Have you smelt your oil? I am wondering if you have diesel in the fuel causing the oil level to be much greater causing the seal to pop.

The seal working loose is a very common problem, caused by nothing more than wear on the seal.
Couple of pounds to change. I now change mine every MOT time during annual service, saves getting oil all down the front of the head and block. 2 minute job to change.
The one on the rear is different to the front one and harder to change.

Seal was just knackered
