Hello, I recently bought a 06 discovery 3 and have loved every minute of it despite the collection of jobs that doing ! . My biggest concern is blue smoke that gets quite bad if I’m stationary for more than a couple of minutes e.g in queuing traffic . Have no idea what’s causing it so I thought this may be the best place to be for answers .also have issues with bonnet catches not catching or staying locked . I can get them closed after playing with the catches but I just want it to work . Not sure if it’s the catch receiver or the bonnet cable . Would appreciate any ideas . Thanks

You sure its blue and not white?

Hello, yes it’s definitely blue initially but does appear grey to white after a couple of minutes . I have had to switch the engine off in traffic because it just bellows out !

I reckon you have at least one duff injector, quite a common fail point on common rail diesels.
