I saw a freelander 1 with big tyres at eastnor..
He hadn't lifted it though..

Had no wheel articulation, and when it did flex the tyres fouled on the arches..

Some people!!

I don’t!
P38.

The evoque is the hippo 3. Did used to drive a diesel FL2 but it weren’t mine.

If it weren’t for the speedracer mud flaps I’d like the hippo from this thread.
Can’t work out why he got bonnet clasps on it though

Another big freelander owner in the freelander section :p

I've never measured biggerer tires v axle articulation but my standard size ones were close to the arches when cross axled oft road. Pic's are somewhere on ere.

The tyres were massive, on stock rims!!

The noise when he was flexing made my teeth grind..

His mate thought it was a right laff!! ;)

Malatestas Can’t be good for vcu?
A working vcu will take it out ok but there will be a slight increase in pressure if the tires have more grip which resists the tire slipping more.

When i made the mistake of putting the old type grabber at2 on ma hippo the noise and vibration was orrible. Fool consumption dropped a bit anorl. Ma hippo was parked on a road with very slight slope outside me house when being fixed. I couldn't push it uphill with back against the B post with grabbers fitted. With normal pirelli scorpian str I could. That proved for me the foot print of the tire had more grip. Hence the noise and vibration as the tread was rougher. I can only assume yer new friend is regretting his new tires. Eggspecially if they're catching the plastic wheel arch liners.
