Hi, I`m running on the ES spec alloys with 235/70R16 105T tyres which stop the truck good on dry roads but are poor in the wet-the ABS kicks in far too easily. Lots of idiot drivers over the bank holiday have scared me witless when out in the rain so I`m leaving plenty of room but I`m thinking wihout the abs I would be locking up too often, so I reckon the tyres are crap.(my previous 200tdi braked better).
Front are Goodyear Wrangler
Rear are General Ameri 550 AS & Roadian A/T Nexel
Any reccommendations for a good tyre for 90% road 10% greenlaning?

Ahh the ultimate tyre is a dream. That which gives you grip on the road robs you of it off road and vice versa.

The AT tyres are probably a good compromise and are **** on both surfaces. Treaded enough to make you think they will stop you in the rain (but only aquaplane) and knobby enough to let you get yourself just that deeper into the ****, off road.

Two sets of tyres works ok if you have the time to change them (or a hydraulic lift and airguns):D

Sorry.. I know this isnt that helpful. Perhaps one of the 'locals' might know of a brand that might do better.
