I am looking at a S-10 4X4 and it needs new rubber. I am wondering what tire
will get the best all around performance and is econically priced ($75 a
piece or less) . Will be 75 % on road and 25 % or less off road and that
will be just through corn fields and pastures ( I live in Iowa) . Would also
like a tire that goes pretty wel in the snow.
What does everyone think ?
Thanks,

I've got Kumho 798. Was about 60$ apiece shipped (245/70 R16) on
tirerack.com. It's quiet, has good treadwear, but is not the best tire for
snow (not bad either, just somewhat mediocre). And you can't beat the price,
haven't seen anything for less $$$ in 4x4 sizes.

Kumho's are a great deal but they are difficult to mount as they have
very stiff sidewalls. Almost like run-flat tires. My installer
charged me a few dollars extra since they were so difficult to mount.
