Still new to it...but Tong/Parkwood4x4 last sunday was probably my best outing yet. Probably because the RR bobtail didnt break down!.

Think theres a pay n play site very near to my in-laws down near Weston (is that the same Stoke on Trent one?)...But wife got bad ribs, father-in-law bad back and mother-in-law a bad passenger....
I might go on me own one day once I drop off the wife during one visit!!

yes its got an 8274 an arb air lockers sounds like a good day.... i wouldn't like to say places just with not having been to silverdale so i can't really compere them and would not like to disappointed you i know how it feels i quite like parkwood but when you've been quite a bit you end up knowing the roots we ended up going the wrong way up just for the extra bit of a challenge we got told off but we just said we got lost ;)

thanks paul al speak to my mate later see if he knows anywhere for you

Let me know how you find Silverdale compared to other sites. I'm always looking for new places to drive, having been to loads:

Bala 4x4
Hill and Ditch
Tong (Parkwood)
Cowm Quarry
small wooded quarry near Corwen
Hawkstone Park (only spectating AWDC events)
Mow Cop (only spectating AWDC events)
Wern Ddu Farm (only spectating AWDC events)
Silverdale
NORT4x4 site in Derbyshire
probably a few others I've forgotten too

I went to Silverdale last month, unfortunately due to the damage/faults found there being still not repaired, I can't make it this month.

lanny man i'll see you at silverdale tomorrow.

Im looking at going Silverdale tomorrow, my Disco is standard with General Grabbers AT2, Im only looking to do some off the easier stuff and do a lot of watching first before I try. Would you recommend Silverdale or is it too tough for a beginner?
I rang Jim wh's number is given for it and he said that Id be O.K. n he'd/someone would tell me the best route to go. But after reading what some people have put I'm not too sure!!
Regards Steve n thanks in advance

You can always stick with me mate, there's lots of easy stuff - loads infact.

Just driving around the place is quite challenging cos it's so slippy, but that stuff is basically flat so you won't do any damage etc.

It's a great place and if you think you want to try it you really should give it a whirl.

As above I'm happy to stick with you for a bit to help you out.

Cheers :)

There are no limits, you'll struggle even with 35s. Do you have a winch? If not, then try to follow someone who does. Its the best one I've been to so far, but if you or anyone else knows a better one....

thanks paul silverdale was grate you will like frickley. its on par with silverdale but i think silverdale is just a bit more extreme very slippy... O an frickley has a burger van.... mmmmm!!!!! :D:D once again thanks mate
