Hi all ,
I am wanting to change the glow plugs in my 1985 110 CSW 2.5 n/a , as the ones in it at the moment need 30 secs of heat sometimes needing to do it twice before it will fire , but I want to know what plugs I should use.

Book says Champion CH 63 ... but some sites say use NGK Y-208T or NGK Y-907R anyone used these and whats the difference please.

I dont want to just buy a cheap set from ebay , as from what I have read ,
they take for ever to heat up and so cause the battery to run down .

Look forward to your replies
Thanks in advance

Either of those are pretty good, but if you are fussy try Denso, they are a really good plug, very quick to heat up. Mill auto are a Denso agent, or Google them.

Playing devils advocate.
When I had a 2.5NA D and found that pre-heating was starting to take longer than expected I fitted a set of BP cheapies and they served me perfectly for years. I didn't bother investigating which one(s) was faulty as the replacements were so cheap and easy to replace that I just whipped the old ones out and fitted the new ones (as easy as changing spark-plugs) and problem solved. Investigation afterwards showed one of the originals was U/S and a second was definately on the way out.
With the new plugs fitted pre-heating was back to normal. Cold starts usually required between 5-8 seconds of heat while even early morning starts at -15 degrees was achieved at 15-seconds. As I said earlier, they served me for several years afterwards without issue.
