Very old post ressurected here....battery now finally and utterly shagged out, need to get another VERY SOON.....probably the optima yellow who knows whos doing any deals or decent prices....Been Googlng for last few hours and still not getting nowhere fast.

Been looking at extra battery setups myself, was thinking now i've got rid of the airbox to get another battery alongside the current now that there's room. I guess in a KV6 u got less room though.
Single setup wise i've just had a Varta installed after the original battery was fecked. Seems to be able to handle everthing including spots, over 1000 watts of audio equipment, sat nav, phone chargers, etc etc.

I've had an optima red top on my machine for the past five months. Saw me through the winter fun with no problems, using all the electrics a lot didn't seem to phase the thing at all. Got mine from Frog Island 4x4 when they had a sale on for £125.
Not sure if the early models are the same (mine's a 2006 facelift TD4) but I had to mod my battery tray slightly and lengthen the cable to allow it to fit tho' (Piccy available if you neeed it)

Piccy would be good as not a lot of room for manouver in mine...V6 with LPG....Battery I took out (dont think original) took 2 people to remove due to limited access and phat ffiingers.
Can anyone tell me if this is original spec:::: Info on battery

Well after (how longs this thread been going) Could not find anyone including optima themselves who would reccommend any of their yellow top range for V6 (all either not powerfull enough or too big to fit in hole without serious mods....Cheers for pics helped a lot
