LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 2 & DEFENDER TD5 DRIVE BELT TENSIONER GENUINE - ERR6951 | eBay
How does this compare price wise? Are Dayco the OEM.??
new Dayco belt fitted today, squeals already! bloody annoying
well maybe that's the next step!!!!Need new tensioner then
well maybe that's the next step!!!!
wel changed the tensioner yesterday, worse squeel, it happens on start up and switch off, so put the old tensioner back on, both parts are genuine, belt is a Dayco, checked all pulleys for play, everything is ok, even the big damper at the bottom,
New genuine belt maybe????????????
Sure its not the aircon pulley?
run the car without the belt, but only a short time as water pump wont be pumping, if noise is still there then its not the belt,
but from your description id be looking at the crank pulley
Check the exhaust manifold gasket. Common problem and can sound just like a squealing belt.
Have you tried to put the old one back on just to discount the new belt from the noise.no it's a belt thing,
