bellhousing bolts

Hi just wondered if there was a reason for the flange nut arrangement on the bellhousing. I temporarily used standard m10s and washers/springs cut to size to fit to basically full thread and be tight. They're 8.8 strength so up to it, unless there is another reason besides people bottoming out and not tightening the bellhousing correctly using bolts? :confused:
If it's just to account for that then they'll work fine aye? Or shall I make some studs up. Top ones be a bitch to get to now :D

using std nuts is ok they were on 200 tdi and earlier models, they are cheaper than nuts and washers and dont slide up inside a socket
