I don't know why mine stopped working the day after I bought the car and I didn't change a bulb to cause it either. Like I (and Datatek) said it's an option to have the lights flashing. The electronics of a P38 do have a mind of their own at times and can go off their settings without anyone going near them. Testbook needed to reset the lights.

as long as the alarm and imobilizer r working and the red led flashing on the dash, alarm is active.i wouldn't get sleep less nights over it,mine did exactly like that and believe it or not it fixed itself.

Well it has happened again....didn't use the car for 24hrs and the interior lights have switched themselves off and the beeps have returned. I noticed this time that the puddle lights didn't come on ,when before they did.
I know I can temporary fix this by connecting the battery but how do I stop the alarm from sounding?

Unplug the sounder, it's between the battery and the fuse box down low.
