Hi all

Just about to order my timing belt kit [modified] and have the choice of the three above, all different prices but not that much in it and all listed in various shops on evilbay.

Which ones best?

Many thanks

Brian.

P.S. found a red mark [marker pen tick?] on top of timing belt case, mean anything?

Britpart. Have a quick look about the forum, lots and lots of happy britpart customers :)

I'm guessing you're being a little sarcastic there;) I have looked on the forum and seen a few comments that were off putting

Not knowing bugger all about land rover parts and suppliers Bearmach seems the better kit [I remember buying one of their bull bars 20 years ago] as never heard of allparts either.

Doing the timing belt for the first time and knowing how important it is has slowed me down in buying the parts and wanting to get the best, don't want to c*ck it up or it fail:eek:

Hi, go with the Bearmach kit, better quality parts.

Red mark might mean that the last person that replaced the timing belt put the marks on to make sure everything stays in line and in the right place, with a bit of luck there will be a few marks that you can align to help you as we'll as putting in place the correct timing pins/drill bits.

Thanks;) busy reading bad things about Britpart on here:rolleyes::lol:

I know people slate the blue box parts, but i haven't had a problem with them in the past. Saying that, for a critical part like a timing belt, I'd buy quality and spend a little more on it. If it were to fail, you'd regret saving that little extra!
