I'm thinking about getting one myself. I had a look at the emulator for the Nanocom and not sure if I fully understand it, for example, 'Timing Modulation 94.37' I'm assuming this means the engine timing, but is this figure within tolerance? I'm sure it come with instructions and what read outs should be.

Timing modulation of 94.37% would mean static timing was retarded. Timing modulation with a warm engine at idle should be 45 to 55%. Ideally 50%. The emulator is just an indication of what systems and things are covered the values shown in many cases are just random entries. For instance the EDC faults read as front right sensor electrical failure, that is nonsensical for the EDC. http://www.nanocom-diagnostics.com/downloads/preview/p38-bosch-edc-nanocom-evolution

I never risk a long journey without it. Saved my money many times.
