comments like this are not exactly helpful:doh::doh:
have you highlighted the only bit youve read

i ask farmers for express written permission to use their lanes otherwise its tresspassing wich ramblers dont seem to bother showing this level of respect they just tramp through with an attitude towards vehicles

that was no way a malicious comment nor ignorant its just my self learned opinion of the minority of ramblers i come across :):):):)

No i read it all....just pointing out the bits that make you sound....er.....self opinionated and convinced of your own superiority......just telling you how it reads.....you come across just the same as someone who always have a story to tell about the bloody 4x4's ripping up.....blah...blah....

he will be looking for you then JC. Please don't, whatever you do, apply to appear on the programme!

not a fookin chance i have no intentions of being on the programme just made a comment on the minority i come across from time to time on private land ( not national and country parks ) where i go its mainly hill sheep farming turf ;););)

and besides im pretty sure he wont be able to find me :cool::cool::cool:

Ok..done a bit of checking..The bloke behind the company is an award winning documentary maker..although not the type of docs i watch, each to their own.

'The Real Swiss Toni'
'Welcome to my World'.
'The Jordan Trilogy'
'The Department Store'
'The Crackhouse'

And directed 20 films.

Got 3 RTS awards.

So I think he's not a spammer...could be worth finding out a bit more from him.

then i appologise for me shyte grammar i was mainly trying to say i have no time nor patience for the argumentative types exept for being able to show them the written confirmation of permission before they get too wound up with their speeches
(must admit they look shocked when they read it and realise theyre the ones tresspassing ):):):)

Nice work Storm, let's hope we can use this for the good of us all.

Probably best to forward this to GLASS and LARA as they would have people with the necessary press training and are more likely to be listened to as national organisations representing the interests of the likes of ourselves.

the real swis toni was filmed in a used car place near me and one of the blokes was a farther of a work mate ,.the doc was funny as fook but it took a fly on the wall veiw and did try and wind members of staff up against one another by telling them / showing them film of others comments ...i would steer clear , unless he is actually makeing a worth while doc now ... but i dowt it ....

I was wondering that same thing, we have all seen it on here that people dont seem to think that GLASS ect arn't worth the money, lets use them for what they are there for, at lest have them repersent us with a uniform approch, with OUR interests at heart, not just landys' or the Japs point of view.

Rather then a group of guys that just want to be seen on telly, and give a not much more then a "lets go and play attitude ", and therefore giving Joe Public the un-intentional opion that we saw from an other programe.

My feeling is we have these Organisatiions not just for stickers ect let's use them for the reason they are there, and that is to make things easier and better for us all.

I have emailed Andrew with details of GLASS, and sugested that the may like to conatct the local 4x4 clubs

what exactly is required?

You are required to be one of many filmed, of whom only one or two will be in the completed documentary.

Unless you are particularly eloquent, logical and persuasive in your views you will be edited to make you appear to be a raging looney with opinionated views and indicative of the reason why owners of 4x4 vehicles are seen as only interested in churning up the beautiful green lanes and fields of middle England for personal gratification.

You will not be portrayed as someone with a sympathy for nature and the environment, a respect for the views of others, and a willingness to compromise.

You probably won't get a fee either.

And you know this how Bonkers? Are you a part of the post production team?

I dunno..we finally get an opportunity to have a voice...and that voice is like an episode of Fraggle Rock.

Ok..nobody bother..let them make a doc without the 4x4 input...then dont be so hypocritical and turn round and slag it off afterwards.

No of course I don't have any inside or professional knowledge of what they are up to.

But reflect calmly, this has nothing to do with Landys but 4x4, so they want the views of the 4x4 community. Quite right too but better the semi-pro groups like the Laners and the Rescue soc's etc give it than individual and loose groups.

I'm sure they have approached other forums and groups based around other 4x4 vehicles. They are not interested in Landys per se but 4x4.

What I would hate to see is some poor Landy owner being the singled out as a rabid looney.

Yes Minty, I think you are correct. Why dont the BBC just interview persons actually on-site using the Parks etc. Any subject can be biased one way or another. Anyway, this isnt an official club, just a bunch of ( I was going to say Nutters) Landy owners exchanging banter, advice and occassional wind ups etc. All it would take is for one person from the anti-offroad persuasion to use this forum in disguise and give a bad impression.

That was the point I badly made in reply to Hurricane.

We are nothing more than a mis-aligned bunch of enthusiasts. Opinions here range from shoot 'em to cuddle 'em. There is no common voice and it would take decades for anyone and everyone to agree an opinion or voice to put forward.

oooooooooooh!nnnnnnnooooooooooo!it wouldn't:D it would be a laugh to see a group off here on the tv but wat it would do for 4x4 and reputations :eek:

I agree, it should be by a recognised body...at same time i don't think the motives of the OP, or the viewpoint the doc takes, should be immediately dismissed as anti 4x4. Nobody knows.
