BATTERY DRAIN OR NOT 2.5 Diesel?

Leaving the bonnet open will not stop the BECM going to sleep as far as I know.
If the RF receiver is failing internally, even disconnecting the blue wire will not stop it keeping the BECM awake.

Hi, I could unplug the rf box, should that be a problem? I have also tested all fuses for voltage drop and found non present where there should,nt be. Only found leak at clock/instrument fuse, and took it out aswell to see if there was signioficant differnce in amperage draw, and there was'nt. I assume the rf box would be fused probably with the central locking fuse circuit?
Does the BECM not shut down eventually (3min appox) even if bonnet left open? When I test for amp leak the reading is dropping after about 3 min, and I assumed that must be the BECM. No light in my bonnet either. Would there be a fuse for the BECM somewhere accessible?

You can unplug the RF receiver to test but it may cause you to be unable to start the car.
Do an LZ site search on BECM sleep test. The red light stays on very dim untill the BECM goes to sleep, almost impossible to see on mine except at night:)
