Battery dies after 3-4 weeks

It is an absolute fact that the battery you have currently installed is woefully small for the Disco.

I would say for you to have reliability you need a good quality battery something like 90amp/hr and with 800cca as a minimum.You can't have too many volts.

I have a battery in mine that is under powered to the recommended and i have the same issue that you are having so i too think the battery is your cause

As the disco has a 12 volt electrical system the only volts you will have are 12, so after four weeks of sitting around going nowhere the volts may have dropped to 10v or less, no hope then of starting what ever the condition of the battery and what ever battery current capacity is. Low voltage = low current.

I have been, for the past 1.5 - 2 months now doing my own testing and I can't find anything wrong with my car; other than the fact that it dies after a few weeks of either running or not running the car
The tester shows 13.55 at the battery terminals with the car at idle and low RPMs it is stable at those Volts.
Then after a few weeks it goes down then just goes to 11.** etc. then not enough power to turn the engine over and then just can't even work the ignition motor.

Changing battery today and will let you guys know what happens.

That is slightly on the low side imo - I would expect about 14.2v at idle, so maybe worth keeping an aye on that. Also your battery is just not holding it's charge.

Re the battery voltage, a good quality, fully charged up-to-spec battery having been at rest for at least 1hr should give about 12.7v across the terminals and immediately after an overnight charge up to 13.7v, in my experience.

Before installing your new battery you might like to think about giving it an overnight charge - irrespective of what the seller might say.
