Batteries: help a guy in need................

Right i need a leisure battery for my caravan, preferably an elecsol or numax 110.
Can anyone on here get them cheap, an elecsol is just over a hundred quid, which is taking the **** i think.
Anyone help out, much appreciated??????
 
A leisure battery is designed to release a slow current over a long period of time, which is whats needed in a caravan.
A car or normal vehicle battery is designed to release its charge in quick bursts for maximum effect, e.g starting the car.
Hence why i need a leisure battery, they last longer.
 
Gary give me some more info on its life span etc etc.

Ive found out that ambulances also use a semi traction leisure battery for pro longed useage for their equipment. So i may have a little joy in getting one as the missus is a nurse..... :D

What amperes is yours and does it fit in ya side locker, does it charge ok on van charger etc etc.

hi lenny the battery im sure is a 960 amp it does fit in me locker and the van is near plugged in at home all the time so the battery is well full before we give it a good hammering its never let us down yet no more dim lights its great but i did put some inch ply in the bottom to take xtra weight but its fine

i aint sticking me head inside a gas locker to take a photo dude but i can asure you it does go in i have an older van thats got a good size locker for me 2 gas bottles / spare wheel /and battery
 
I think he meant photos of my missus as she is a nurse Gary.

I just need someone i can get a battery off now.

Thats illegal that is.

Anyway roughly how long does your battery last Gary?
I do weekend rallies, all the bank holidays etc etc etc and i dont do electric hook up.
