I am seeing the Osteopath lady tomorrow. :)
Things are pretty good generally, but there's this nagging ache in my chest at the back running obliquely up and out.
It's got to be a muscle or a nerve in distress, but I have no idea what sets it off, or why.
Perhaps if she walked up and down my back in her stiletto's it would help?
All I know is that I keep locking up there and across my shoulders and it's a real bummer. :(
Usually she "finds" the tight & knotted areas very quickly, but why do they keep locking up?

I get the same. Basically the muscles etc "default" back into that position and then lock up again. It's as if they feel happier that way. The right hand side of my spine is perpetually locked up to an extent.
I think it is almost impossible to stop it happening. But maybe one way would be, as soon as the muscles are sorted out, to exercise almost non-stop to keep the muscles etc in their new position until maybe eventually they will learn that "default" is the new position.

I used to have a rib that constantly displaced where it joined the spine. It didn't stop me doing anything but it hurt like hell. This sounds a bit similar to what you have in that it gave paind not just in my back but also in my chest.
Happily it no longer does this, so the "default" position must have changed.

Another thing my French chiro told me to do was, after a session with her, to not get straight into the car or Disco and drive off. Rather to walk around for 10 minutes first. And we all know that walking is one of the best ways to get the body to sort out back problems. May be worth a try.
Best of luck mate.
