well you get lycra clad girlies aswell. i use to live in dorset and it would take about 35-45 mins to cover the 10 miles to bournemouth whereas over here it take me about 25mins to cover the 25 miles to work so long as i don't get caught by the police you never see.
if you think of all the stuff you don't like about the uk..i.e 2 year wait for hospital apointments,traffic at a stand still cos the roads can't cope with the amount of vehicles and all the other stress inducing problems then having to put up with a few hours road closures a year ain't much.
 
No Slob, when you put it like that it seems to put things into perspective mate, England is a sh#thlole beyond doubt. My Brother in law works abroad and has done for the past 35 years, he says he wont come back here to retire.

its not so much a ****hole its just thats its over crowded. too many people and not enough of any thing to go around. if i want to go some place i know how long it will take me and i know i'll get there with out pulling my hair out. the worst problem here on the roads are tractors and tailgateors.

The trouble is not with the 4X4's but there seems to be a surplus of time on peoples hands, and they need something to moan about.
may be they should all buy old 4x4's themselves, that will stop them having spare time to find things to moan about and get them a Life! :)

I have a Freelander because of my lifestyle. I have a horse which means I have to go off-road to get to the farm twice a day - and it's the only vehicle I feel safe in especially if it snows. Plus my 2 dogs are always in the back, plus tack, feed etc. There is no way I feel bad for owning this car - trying doing all this with a Mini Cooper :eek:

On my way home I unfortunately have to go through a school run and it's an absolute nightmare - these blooming women just park everywhere and anywhere clogging up the roads in their shiny clean bmws, mercs and 4x4s - laden with only themselves and one kid - makes me so mad :mad:

I also know that one of the vehicles belongs to a house which is only 300 metres from the school - why cant the mother walk???? What ever happened to cycles and buses? That's all we ever had....

The French have got it right,if you dont like something take action,their farmers blockade roads and bring the whole coutry to a virtual standstill just for the slightest thing.
So dont blame old blighty,just look in the mirror when you wanna bitch off about England,or even better blame all of our lilly livered 1960's do gooders parents with their liberal ideas,peace man....get fooked a bloody good war,a proper war is what this planet needs and as far as this country goes,we need to go back to 1920's 30's attitude,thats when we were kings amoung kings.

Don't drop your guard at all with the idea that it will never be banned... Here in the states SUV's are very common from little Kia's up to the big Ford Excursion.... And let me tell you the Excursion cruises easily at 90 MPH as it does 40. Fuel economy, well large fuel tank tells the story.

Places to ride are being regulated/restricted with special police to enforce the restrictions. The enviromentilist don't want us treading on the land, just pavement. Two of our three vehicles have 4 wheel drive and rarley do we go off road. It's used for winter conditions.

We do have his and her ATV's that we take on trails, again they have restricted us to pre planned trails. The growing popularity has prompted many polititions to take notice and approve riding trails, mostly old train rail beds. Here in New Hampshire they are buying 7200 acres of land from logging company to open a vast trail/multi use park.

I like the ATV, it's outdoors and fresh air. The best season is winter eventhough cold is great to go after a fresh snow fall. We travel in a Conversion van with an Espar B1LC heater that maintains a comfortable interior temperature. My Ford Ranger pickup truck also capable of pulling ATV trailer is fitted with a D1LC. Not as spacious and roomy as the van, but provides a toasty retreat from the cold. My heating set ups have impressed upon a number of family outdoorsmen.

Keep the people that wish to ban your rights from organizing, you give them an inch they will put you in the junk yards if they can.
 
Common sense out the window....

Do gooders and political correctness has messed things up again.
