HI All.

I need to replace all the joints on my 2001 D2

I've heard some horror stories about it being a tough job and was wondering is it handier to whip the front axle out, and do them on the bench, or wrestle with them on the ground?

Be an outside job for me as garage is too low to get her inside

cheers

No, Ball joints, although obviously they allow the hub to swivel too!

The set up is different to a Disco1,

D2 has a ball joint pressed into the axle, not a shimmable (and sensible) set-up like the D1

Lookout for a removel tool for the Dana 44 Jeep axle. On XBAY for around 100€ new.

I did 3 Discos now with this tool and it is realy working well!
