Hi guys, was once the proud owner of a V8 vogue but sadly had to say goodbye due to ever rising fuel and repair costs, bought a Grand Cherokee and now know why they call them a Grand Cherokee, it normally costs a grand when they break. Anyway, I needed a winter car and came across a 02 plate, 79k Freelander for the vast sum of £700 and its a cracker, I ignored the doom and gloom brigade who said I was mad to get one and I can report all is well. It needs a few minor jobs but has had the biggies done (head gasket, rad etc) it drives well and is in good nick. Just serviced it with full synthetic and will sort the bits out at my leisure so looking forward to proving the doubters wrong (I hope). Will be mooching around the site for tips etc and will report anything I feel will be useful. My other cars an Alfa so you can tell I'm an optimist and take no notice of the negative sector!
