Hello again everybody,
I've been away for quite a while as I sold my Gaylander (anybody remember it?) and moved back to the U.K. Anyroad upwards, I've got another now and have bought myself a problem, so if anyone can offer any advice I'd be grateful...... right, here goes....
Its a 2004 TD4 with 116,000 on the clock. What happens is - sometimes when I'm just going along at a sensible speed on the flat I look behind me and I can't see anything for white smoke. I look like a WW2 destroyer trying to hide at sea! Then the smoke disappears and all is well for a while, even if I accellerate hard uphill, all is clear behind me. Then, all of a sudden it happens again and there's the smoke again. There doesn't seem to be any pattern or logic to it. Someone suggested that this can happen when the oil level is too low, so I checked that and topped it up (it was, actually low at the time), but that didn't make any difference.
So.......if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.
