hi mates, need some guide on servicing the axle, swivel and tranfer box....ive never touch them since i bought it last August. And i have no idea of when or how to do this??....so it will be very kind of any experienced landy owners out there to guide me on this matter .....i need to know when to change oil, what kind of oil,how to check oil and how to do it mates....thanks a lot

finding out what oil and what quantity is just a search away!

make sure you can undo the oil filler plugs BEFORE you drop the oil out of the drain plugs. Old oil is better than NO oil..!!!

I found loads of info on here on swivels before doing mine including setting tension etc pretty sure buster has done a how-to n'all..

thanks graham..i just need to know when and how to check axle, transfer box and swivel oil..???... i really have no idea mates...
Do you have a haynes manaul? it's all in there, and is quite straighforward.
Car on level ground, undo filler plugs, undo drain plugs. When oil drained re fit filler plugs, re-fill with oil (or grease for swivels) and then refit filler plugs

many thanks richard...i dont have any manual in fact...so please kindly let me know how often should i change the oils and grease..??..is there is a way to check the oil levels in all the machinery..?

The axles, and transfer box are full when the oil comes out of the filler plug. But as Graham says, get a manual, either a Haynes paper one or a Rave electronic one. everything you need is in there
