Evening all, iv popped out and noticed I seem to have a pin hole in the middle of my rear diff casing. Can I just weld it? a little plate? Will I need to drain it? Tia

Have heard of them getting a little thin and become porous. Is it a 90 or 110?

You can by a complete rear diff cover for the 90. it would still need welding in place.

If you decide to weld it, I would drain, pull the diff and see if it is really bad.

Cheers

Its a 85' 90

Unless the whole axle is badly corroded don't go replacing it, you know the condition of your one and has had no problems for the time tou been driving it - in theory.

Drain the oil, cut off the old pan and weld on a replacement, take the diff out and block axle tubes to stop grinding crap going down the tubes, you then just have to clean out the centre part
