Axle breather for defender 90 1985 - are these universal eg do later model breathers fit? Also any tips for removing broken one - arghhhh Thanks Mike

I don’t think they are all universal, I think there are 2 different thread sizes, one metric (newer axles) and old imperial. If yours had the banjo style bolt attachment, then it should be 1/4BSP, if they have the push-in type, then I think they were metric.

Thanks Mick ("mick 1986, post: 4927914, member: 49926") Any ideas where I can get replacement it is definitely the banjo type.
 
1/8" BSP to 6mm nylon tube push fit works, get a reel of the 6mm nylon and you can fit extended breathers then.
1/4"bsp to 6mm if you want to do gear/transfer box, bell housing, timing cover.
Local pneumatic/compressor places or eBay.

I just purchased some 90 degree push fit connectors, I think I bought 6mm x 1/4BSP.

Edited the original reply, they are BSP, not UNF.
