I have quite a collection of Allen keys so I may experiment with the incorrect injector. If I can get this to work then this will expedite the work. Many thanks for the suggestion.
 
Replacement injector has just arrived, (in a Delphi box), but before I open it, and breach the right to return it, could you experienced chaps confirm that this BLUE toped injector is in fact just what I thought I was ordering as I was expecting a GREEN toped injector. NB Box identified as MSC00040, item has DFIBEBE2A00101 label inside sealed bag. No rush as the e-bay injector removal tool is still on it's way; as are the retaining bolts!
 
Blue top injector is replacement for black top so not suitable for Eu3 engine which is confirmed by the part numbers too as MSC000040 / BEBE2A00101 is for Eu2 engines(black top injectors), the green ones remained green with p/n MSC000030 / BEBE2A01001 so you should have ordered this from the beginning

Thanks for your confirmation re correct injector. Sill not sure if it was my Dyslexia kicking in or not but I have now ordered the correct part, MSC000030.

Their web page is confusing as the picture has a GREEN top; surely this should have been a BLACK top for MAC000040? Us Dyslexic's go by a picture more than words; still we are all human and humans make mistakes. But thank you for your confirmation.
 
Once again I feel the need to call on you chaps experience.

I have replaced the incorrect injector, (bit of an issue with the supplier), and the seals and copper washer on the other four. Purged the fuel so I thought I should check the injector codes. All five injector codes do not line up with what Nanocom identifies as the injector codes. I cannot find a way of overwriting or deleting the codes such that I can input the codes I have read off the existing four and the new injector. After about half an hour trying all sorts of buttons to press I admit defeat.

Is it possible to change the injector codes? (If the Nanocom will a step by step guide would be nice)?

Perhaps this has been the cause of most of my problems to date.

Yes, it can be done, I have not done it, so we may need to wait for the wisdom of Ferry:) or someone who has done it.

So you got to the page where you see the codes, touch the screen at the end of the code, a keypad will appear, clear the code with backspace, write the correct code, do that for all 5 go to next page with the green arrow at the bottom to "write settings" and confirm on that, exit the menus untill disconnection... job done

The backspace was the first, second and third thing I tried. I even wrote the code and tried "write settings" but it just showed ten code letters - I only tried the first injector so perhaps I need to insert all five before saving. I just don't know.
However I will give it another try and see if it was / is finger trouble. Did I mention I hate computers?
 
OK there is now a change; I have no throttle at all!

The curser still resolutely adhered to the left of the codes, i.e. no backspace function, so I tried all sorts of actions.

Having tried each available button which just wipes the codes again presenting a blank list in the injector page. So I thought perhaps it wants the file the 'saved', what file I am not sure so I saved ...file! This was achieved by going into "Engine Map" and saving the file then back into the injector page to find it blank so I inputted the codes again; for the sixth time. Lacking any way forward I just started the engine. Bit of a cough and splutter - to be expected when interrupting the fuel system. Then I let it run while I opened the doors... Tried the throttle and nothing; my foot moment elicited no response from the engine. Stoped and paused then started the engine again; still no throttle. The engine was noisy, (acoustic cover left off for the moment), and 'tappetey' but that could be my setting of what I found a very peculiar tappet(?) setting procedure; perhaps that will need to be addressed separately.

I realised that I had not tried the "save" icon. This had no effect other than if I went back up the logic tree and then down to the injector page again there were the original wrong injectors. This is where I came in!

I did toggle one switch that said "Throttle" then "2 way" or "3 way" not sure what this meant so I think I put it back to "2 way"

Clearly there is a step, or steps, missing somewhere but what step and where I find it is a mystery to me! Any thoughts chaps?
 
I can't imagine what you are doing there but definitely not what's necessary, the throttle must be set correctly to work so for Eu3 engine is 3 track otherwise it will just idle... don't play in the fuel map menu especially if you dont know exactly what you are doing, that menu is for remaps loaded from SD card not settings, if you did something wrong in that menu it's possibe that you mixed up the whole fuel map, it's explained what's that menu for in the instructional guides

after the "write settings" with the injector codes you have to exit the menu untill start page , turn igntion off, wait at least 30 seconds then unplug nanocom... to see if the settings were saved you have to plug it back and see then

I acknowledge your advice re not altering the engine map. I am most concerned that I may have altered something.
I have tried numerous ways of removing the incorrect codes but as the cursor always appears to the left of the incorrect code pressing the 'backspace' has no effect whatsoever. They just keep on appearing. However that said I had no knowledge of the procedure you advise; I will try that as soon as I can. I did think that running the engine would fix the new codes; but then I hate computers, and I think they hate me!
 
So if you double touch the screen at the right side of the injector code nothing happens? ... it should behave like with the key code, see this video from min 0.47

I have tried following your instructions with the exception of being unable to clear the code by using the backspace. In truth I have lost count of the number if times I have entered the codes. But the Nanocom continues to reveal the original codes. Clearly the only thing I cannot do is to clear the codes by using the backspace, see attached. As you will see in this keyboard window the curser is defiantly to the left of the code and thus unable to delete the old code with the backspace. I have tried pressing all the soft keys on the injector window but they just erase the freshly put in codes. Pressing the "INJ TYPE" key has three functions, status quo, a number or a different last letter. (Paradoxically the 1st injector only needs the last letter changed from an'M' to a 'J' for the correct code). Is there anybody out there within a short distance of Warwick who knows how to insert the correct codes?

I have absolutely no knowledge of what you need to do or have done.
But from what I read you have done and instructions given, Have you touched the screen to the right of the code to move the cursor to the point you can backspace:).

I will leave now and just watch:).

Tried the right, the centre and the left side all reveal the same answer. I even tried each injector to see if number 5 would be different from number 1, but all attempts left that cursed curser to the left of the code. But thank you for your interest.
