Auto dimmer mirrors

Hi, I'm pen9mick from Yorkshire, I recently bought my first Disco(love it!!) but the rear view auto dimmer mirror is fogged(yes fogged!!) in parts, a new one is going to cost £147!!
Question A) Can these be repaired?
B) Are these easy to change over?

is it the one with the compass as well - cos these are even dearer - try this one on ebay
