Auto box in 130defender

Hi everybody
Has anybody ever fitted a auto box to a 130 defender.
We are having a bit of a problem with fitting a auto box to a 300 tdi, the problem we have come across is that fitting a defender transferbox to the auto box is not as straight forward as was thought,the gear in the transferbox is different from the one on the donor disco. The spines one the disco stop 53mm short of the end. The ones on the defender stop 34mm short of the end it is also 5mm longer than the ones on the disco.
If anyone can help would be very grateful

you can change output shaft on auto box just undo 10mm bolt with 17mm head ,there are 2 shafts one has a long spline the other short google ftc5090

Thanks if I had looked earlier I would have seen your answer,we found out from Ashcroft on Monday morning,bought it then got it next morning. It is in now.
Now can you tell me if we did right,we undid belt and pulled it out from the seal,ther is no need to take the back of that holds the governor.

theres no need to remove rear case to change shaft unless you disturb governor ie try run box with shaft off as it secures gov

Put mind at rest, a little bit worried about something dropping down in the govener when we pulled it out,you have to repeat myself put my mind at rest
