I am trying to top up the auto box oil but cannot seem to be able to get the filler plug open. There are various views on which size and pattern but I cannot imagine that LR switched from one to the other when they made the cars.
Have bought a T55 and T60 Torx both of which are too big and an 8mm and 7mm hex both are too small.
The position of the plug means that you cannot see clearly to identify the pattern.
Can anybody help?
The car is a 2000 model year.

It's been a while but from memory it's a T50.

Thanks for that and its the first time aT50 has been mentioned. Does anybody else have an idea which size is used because Ive already bought a T55 and a T60 which are too big. The T50 looks like it will cost between £10 to £15 and Im getting to the point now that I could have taken it in to be done at a garage.

ive only ever seen disco 2 auto boxes with allen plugs ,5mm for drain and 8mm for level iirc, tapping plug with hammer will loosen it if its been butchered by poor fitting allen key
