auld series

Was offered an old series safari jobbie (w reg) the other day for around 300 quid. Had a quick look at it and there's nowt that's worth saving except 'maybe' the glass!!! All the panels are either bashed or well corroded, whole thing is covered in hen **** and christ knows wot else!!! Dunno boot the chassis as I wusn't gettin' down there amongst the crap to have a look, but he tells me he put new outriggers on and has a new rear x member with extenshuns to go on and a new fuel tank. Forgot to mention the half mummyfied dears head stuck on one of the wiper arms!!! Inside isn't much better, I think a family of rats had moved in and eaten everything then moved oot as it got a bit squalid fur thum!! This thing has sat for over 6 years doin' nowt and lives by the sea... My question is, is this a good buy
