Over heard someone talking about your disco today rob :)

Couple of old boys looking at my disco and one said to the other "hmmm its like that school teachers disco, have you heard about it, it's immaculate, they say he washes it every time it goes off road"

I refrained from correcting the innaccuracy, but it seems you are well known :D

Funny as!!

Nice to be mentioned in the presence of yours. :D

I've been a bit quiet recently as my new BT Black Magic Box wasn't working! All good now, so there are a few updates to come.

New parcel.....

I won't be fitting them myself as "I don't do engines and brakes". Booked in for a 100k service (10k on the engine) next week so I'll get all fluids done plus rear brakes and a few bits I don't want to tackle.

Funny as!! I'm going to write those (and the injury) up in a minute or two!! :D:D:D:D

Bought a couple of brand new diff plugs and a couple of magnets with a 10kg pull!!

Drilled the back of the plug - tricky as there is only about 8mm before you drill all the way through. In the process, I snapped my new 4.2mm drill and jabbed the broken, spinning end straight into the feckin index finger of my spare hand.:mad::mad::mad:

I didn't want to upset SWMBO by dropping blood on the new carpet so I phoned her from the garage with one hand in the air. Took a photo as I knew you guys would like a good laugh!

The end result works well in a "comedy value" fashion. The M5 screw is thread locked in place. If the thread lock fails, the screw is pulled into the centre of the magnet and can only be removed by pushing it from the opposite side and when out, it needs to be separated from the magnet with pliers. The magnet won't come off the plug by pulling them apart, it needs mole grips and a twisting/levering motion.

I can't see it coming loose inside the diff. The second magnet arrived today, let's see if I can repeat the success but not the injury.:eek::eek:

That made i laugh Noisy :0)

Chequer plated footwell. Removed for painting. Gave up on the underlay years ago. Weighed a feckin' tonne when its dripping remains were removed!!

While the seat was out, I removed various stiffeners that my delicate arris could feel as I drove.
