Not sure how you got on with the painting of the plastics but I had good results with this stuff.
So far so good and it seems quite durable too.
The key is the primer!! I used a couple of other test pieces before I actually painted my car parts and used three different primers supposedly for plastics, the Motip was the 4th and the only one that either didn't react to the paint or peel within a few weeks, I even tried just paint onto the plastic but not good, could have been just rubbish early 90's Land Rover plastics for you
But this combo worked for me

Have you got one of these? All 300s had one and it runs round the back of the engine bay into the side of the airbox.
If the vacuum setup is different on the TGV then that may explain your blanking.
