A mess to put it mildly, power supply brown + - black usually, your looking for a switched and permanent supply plus one for illuminating the display and of course ground... time to get your multimeter out and switched on.

Who knows what the white wire is for as it doesn't loook as it's still as it left the factory, so test and don't guess, maybe better to get someone who can, as it's very straight forward job and should be all done and wires tidied up and put away neatly and the unit fitted in 30 to 60 minutes including the tea breaks.

White wire has a sticker on it with writing, what does it say.

Get a probe tester with a light in it. Just poke through insulation and clip other end to earth. When it lights up, you've found a live. Simples

White wire is live because it joins onto the brown wire further up, it must be a feed for something else. As you are using the plug, it will just be a case of swapping the blue bullet connectors around. You just need to find a wiring diagram for the radio or work it out from the colours as best you can.

Ye iv got the book out for my CD player to look...iv got a meter now too so I’ll try work out what’s going on....one thing I was wondering I can either run a new wire from fuse box or if I just tap into the wires that are already there will my CD player then run off there circuit..so it will be off there fuse?

That's a mess. Remove everything back to just leaving those grey female Sockets and start again.
Simply put;
Brown = permanent unfused live. This cable will have a capacity of well over 20a as long as the battery is charged and connected so be careful with it.
Black = earth.
White = ignition switched live, unfused. This will only be live when the ignition is on, and given its size will carry over 20a.
None of the three wires are fused so your stereo needs to have its own fuse which most do but make sure.
Your stereo should have;
+
Earth
Illumination
Memory
And probably aerial out, sub out (these Switch these things on when your stereo turns on)
Standard landy wiring that you have doesn't have the illumination function, mine didn't even have a permanent live for the memory feature.

So I’m guessing cd red to LR white.... cd yellow to LR brown and black to black...what about cd dimmer?? I have no clue when it comes to this kinda thing I’m just learning as I go

Your diagram certainly suggests that but remember that both your brown and white are UNFUSED. I would fit inline fuses if I were doing it this way, on my own wiring loom project I've accounted for this and run the required cables. I've also run some Spares so that I can make use of any dimmer function dependant on what head unit I buy / find.
Dimmer will be just that, when you turn your light lights on it will tell the head unit to dim its illumination because it's dark outside. I wouldn't bother with that personally because I don't know what you would feed it from or the spec required but others might.

It looks like yellow is power or brown and black is black.
It looked like white joined the brown in the blue bullet but I think it is behind it so not joined.
Test the white for power on and off with the ignition and join it to the red.
So, you are correct I think.
If white has no power then connect brown to red also to get CD working and then rewire as required.
Dimmer will require another wire from the dash and you only have three.

All sorted.... I pulled all the wires out and just ran 3 new ones from the LR directly to the CD player didn’t even use the connection box...just added 2 inline fuses but I did use the connection box for the speakers....20min start stop easy done.......................when you know what the wires are...thanks guys
