Attached the battery terminals on my discovery td5 and now showing no power I have popped a battery fuse but just wondering if that would of saved it and not frazzled my ecu etc ..

The battery terminals are a different size to each other, the larger one is always the positive.

never noticed, but in that case the lesson is to always connect the -ve first
I always connect the +ve first however!! for the simple reason, when you're tightening the connection, it doesn't matter if the screwdriver/spanner makes contact with the bodywork. more of a motorcycle issue though

Always wonder how anyone can even get the terminals the wrong way round. Quite apart from things like the plus and minus signs on the batt and the colours of the leads.
