I don't think I made myself clear, I was talking about the Cooper Discoverer STT PRO.:):)

That's how I roll... nice tyres. Pleased with how they are on the road, and the aggressive sidewall looks good too :)

235/70/16 original, 245/75/16 for the new tyres. Required an adjustment to the steering stops and a very minor trim to the lip of the arch. This pic is at full articulation on standard height suspension.

I take it that was on the bump stops which are rubber?? If you are planning on playing in some claggy mud you may find that clearance is a little fine, keep an eye on it.

Cheers

Seem fine so far, they’ve not broken grip at the speeds I’ll happily drive the D1 at, not had to stop quickly but then again that’s not something a D1 will do anyway!

I agree with 90jc. I have 265 on boost alloys, and when they are worn out I will be getting 235's. You also end up with a crap turning circle with 265's

Also, remember that bump stops have a habit of falling apart, and you just have the steel part left.

I HAVE KUMHO KL71 ON MY 90 THEY ARE VERY LOUD ON THE ROAD. However, they look cool and do grip well. My 90 is used mainly for road and they are not to bad, if I were doing a lot of road mileage 12k or something I'd get AT2's again, I was with @mikescuba in Morocco and they were great, bit crappy in mud though got stuck a few times. Unlike @mikescuba I don't have donkeys to get me out. When its really bad around here (West Sussex Mud) we use a buggy for shooting.

The MT51’s are a hybrid AT/MT, still some road noise at speed but nothing like I was expecting. I actually kinda like the howl, we’ll see if I agree after 200 miles on the motorway!

Switching to the 235 i was able to wind the steering stops in a bit, it has made enough difference that im not constantly doing 3 point turns.
Had to do a propper emergency stop other day on wet road, i was amazed how well it stopped and didnt break grip even a little.

@bankz5152 has just changed from these I thought to the std STT style, at least I did thunk so, maybe wrong.

Cheers

Kinda. I had the STT Pros in 285/75 excellent off road but above 60 on road where horrible, masses lf vibration and SO much noise. Motorway travel became a real chore.

Swapped to 285/74 S/T Maxx which are similar to the old STTs but more road friendly. Like night and day the difference. Can happily cruise at 70+ without issue.
