What a relief.
I've had my 2002 3 litre tdi RR for almost 2 months and I was beginning to worry that I'd never have an 'inactive suspension' fault.
What a relief when it happened today. I was beginning to think that I'd always be a virgin.
The lights are all off on the suspension panel but it blinks when I turn the ignition on and then goes out.
The car looks like it's sitting at normal ride height.
I've done the steering 'lock to lock' thing, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
The battery is good, hasn't been disconnected in fact it's been on my ctek ct5 all week
The car was driving ok. I parked it and went for a walk (yes - of course within the lockdown guidance), and the fault appeared on restart.
So, I have a couple of questions
1. Whats the best (and when I say 'best' I really mean cheapest but most effective) diagnostic tool?
2. Will I do any harm if I drive the thing while the fault is showing.
3. What are the chances of me fixing this before I burn it to the ground?

what setting is the light blinking on the driver unit
it could be that playing up
most people will say Nanocom is best you can get but they don't come cheap
fixing it will be easy once diagnosed
where you based as someone might be close to use there diagnostic machine for you

Thanks for your response.
The 'normal ride height' and 'lock' lights come on for maybe 5 sec and then go out and stay out until the ignition is switched off and then on again.

Anyone have any views on iCarsoft LR V2?
I'm afraid I don't currently have £600 (plus Brexit import tax to Northern Ireland) to lash out on nanocom. Would I be better saving up for it?
What doesn't iCarsoft LR V2 do?

So, i fitted the new height sensor but the fault won't reset - I'm getting a CAN error
Here's the full list - any thoughts?

I have iCarsoft V3 but its for VW so cant tell you, ppl say its good but wont do Navcom stuff

Mine threw up the same problem as yours the same day I sold it, the gut drove it to his house and the fault cleared itself, then said the drivers side door came up instead and the door was unlocked....

Hi.
I am no expert but, I bought the foxwell diagnostics for around £140. It appears to be far more functional than anything else within that price range.
