I understand the initial weariness, something about the P38 that’s different they have an ‘attitude’ on times.

there’s important things anyone can check like tyre pressures/fluid levels. you’ll get more comfortable to pull your intercooler out or change spill pipes (once you see how easy & cheap it is compared to garage £££)
Itl make world of difference so you keep going :) there’s so much documented in past posts that any problem has been sorted before and if you don’t understand ; someone here will explain

Mine is called ‘Princess’ - a stroppy bi**h that knows she is ultimately in charge. She made a lot of beeps at first, I was convinced to upgrade my battery (1000cca 120Ah) by a member Datatek. I was unsure as the beeps indicated particular faults, but sure enough new battery and nearly all of them disappeared.

Ah: very interesting about the battery - yes! That makes complete sense. I had the same probs with a Jag HK8, which probably had cheap batteries, until I upgraded it, then lots of electro probs went away - until someone offered me so much Wonga for it I simply had to let it go! Crikey: pulling out the intercooler?!? I'd need to be very high on something to do that - not that that's my thing or anything. I am making notes of all this helpful info with thanks, RR...

You should make a thread in the RR section even if it’s just hi.
bit of banter but they know EVERYTHING - actual. Cheapest parts, best options, compatibility, when to call it a day - never!!:D:)

Intercooler is literally couple of bolts and couple of jubilee clips. Light oil is pushed through from turbo and over long periods of use it builds up and bogs the engine down. I got most of my power back from simply cleaning it out thoroughly. Old pipes also delaminate internally which is very easy free check
