A fleet broker friend of mine put me onto a another broker, 60 quid less than last year and more than half the excess, no voluntary at all. Not cheap, but cheaper than the alternatives.
I wonder if they're passing on their hikes pro rata to 'hire' their patch on this here site ?They have been calling me, no thanks as yours were more than double the price of anyone else last time, & they didnt bother
trying to compete with the pricing so see yezzzz.

Found out the “flex drive option” where you can drive other motors has ceased.Got a renewal off them saying they are £100 lower this year…
Yes you would lower be as you have removed the drive any other vehicles fully comp option that I pay extra for.
Wait till I ring the idiots up again
And as for auto renew… hate this as I’m only home for 2days a week so if post is running late I would not see these letters.
They quoted me £6k on our discovery in London. We took out a policy with Landrover directly got £195 a month. Not cheap, but betterThey've phoned me three times today. Insurance isn't due till beginning of next month and they'll probbably not get my money anyway, they can never touch my quotes, even with the "discount" applied.
Nope,They've sent me a letter too, desperate. Tomorrow is is day for getting quotes, 21 days before renewal.
standard policy, fully comp, including to and from wk its all about the risk and how they use the algorithm to asses, i do have 20yrs ncd!£166 to insure a Defender TD5 is insane, l've never had a quote that cheap for any main vehicle l have owned in the past 40 years.
It must be on a "Classic" policy to get it that low. (not your primary vehicle, limited mileage)
l once had a Ferrari Mondial t which was insured on a Classic policy and cost under £200 with Agreed Value
Ha! no i live in the middle of nowhere, but it is kept in a locked garage, as i said its about risk etcThat's unbelievably cheap
Do you by any chance live inside the walls of the Tower of London?
Yeah, nah. 21 to 23 days out. Ti's facts and that.Nope,
21 Days out using comparison sites the market is alerted to the fact you are looking ( in the market) so the price will be the same at renewal quoted at that time.
When you come to renew, best to do day before as companies will try to gain market share, but be aware that most are fronts for the big 5 so keep that in mind as they dont want you shifting, so whilst your current provider mght be more expensive, others will will temp you with a deal ( actually the same parent company) to keep market share. So essentially you will get the best deal from the big 5 competing for market share.
the two main comparision sites prioritise 2 of the big five, so be sure to use both.
2003 TD5 90 £166 fully comp, agreed value, and able to drive any other vehicle.
2005 Mercedes SL 500 is now down to £242 fully comp.

Insurance thread
Hmm, double again. Needless to say, it's a no from me.Flux have come in double my renewal.
Big fat Nope!
