Arch liners

So, random question here. Was walking towards the RR yesterday and noticed I could see through the wheel arches at the front and back - through to below the engine and the silencers at the rear. Is this normal? Should there not be more protection in the form of arch liners?

IT's more the rear I was concerned about. I know the exhaust is open to the elements anyway but it seems strange that potentially crap is lifted by the rear wheels and thrown up on to the silencers!

Similar ones on the rear, be sure to get right ones, 4 different + clips

Being close up to it now though they don't look that bad.. and the liners appear to be in place. Must just be me!
