ARB vs KAM diff lockers

KAM shafts have always had issues they have been weak (stronger that LR shafts) but still weak. The new ones have a weak shear point engineered in with the idea that when they break, they break clean and you can pop out the broken bits and refit a shaft. Without checking for debris (i would not trust that anyhow even the smallest of shards of high grade steel will do wonders for you diff gears)

Personally Ashcroft shafts are the the way to go here strong as you get and proved. Kams are good for the on off availability but come at a price but quaiffe again expensive or detroit/eaton which are far cheaper need not be overlooked if you don't mind it not always operating. Detroits aree turley fit and forget.

Detroit locker,

Fit and forget, always active strong nothing to get ripped off wires/air system etc,

Downside weird handling on road characteristics.

Arb; expensive ish, weak centres (seen 5 broken at various offroad comps), requires external air system/plumbing,

Good points; can be disabled for road use.

Kam good
