So Vredstein= apollo? that's a good thing. i'm currently looking for reviews but they're not so common

To be honest i've never heared of them myself. Dealer said they're good [well its hs job to say so] What a/t tyres do you recommend? i've also seen yokohama

So
Apollo is an indian tyre company who have bought both dunlop south africa and vredestein in recent years

I have no info about their AT tyres unfortunately

I know the vredestein company and have good experience with their winter tyres

You get what you pay for in tyres and just about everything else in life! Mind you, I have just bought used for the first time and so far so good - big brand tyres less than half worn for a fraction of new cost. I'm just waiting to eat these words!!!

Re Apollo, I've been driving cars for 30 years with tyres on and I've never heard of them :)

I Will check about vredestein A/t too. To be honest my favourite brand when it comes to these types of tyres is BFg. Most importantly to me is that nylon content, if any, is as low as possible

.??
What do you mean about nylon content ???

Apollo are just another Indian multi-national conglomerate, buying up what they can. Rather like Tata - which very few folks had heard about until recent years.

Apollo are huge - 15th biggest tyre manufacturer in the world. Profits look like telephone numbers!

I wouldn't fit any of their products to my Freelander in the UK though.

But they'd be my first choice if a drove a Hindustan Ambassador (1958 Morris Oxford) taxi in Mumbai.

At best I would reckon Apollo tyres have technology dating from the 1980s.

Ok but the Nylon is inside the tyre and doesnt come into contact with the road - unless of course you have worn all the way through the tread :)

well what can i say tyre fitter for 8years never heard of apollo tyres who u work for apollo acelere winters tyres are very good one of the best in fact we use them on our farm and shoot 4x4 on our farm check out Tyre reviews, tests and ratings | the online tyre guide all will be shown

Apollo may own other brands on tyre but I've never seen an Apollo branded tyre. I order from Micheldever and Stapletons the two biggest wholesalers in the country and neither of them supply Apollo branded tyres.

Granted on that but the higher the percentage, the quicker it gets out, Other brands i've owned (say it clear on the tyre itself) and after i ended up drifting (unintentionally)with the pug i used to own i drew a line.
