I’ve ordered a Nanocom but it’s going to arrive this Friday, but I’m booked in the garage for Friday.

My car doesn’t start, and I want to see if my car is out of sync.

Cant help sorry.

But what are the symptoms of the problem?

Anything in the message screen?

J

No error messages related to the car not starting.

The car cranks fine. It just stopped working all of a sudden. I need to check if there’s a spark. The car was working perfectly fine a few days ago.

Since I’ve owned the car for a year and plan to keep it long term, I’ve ordered a Nanocom that will narrow down the problem.

No point replacing small parts right now (fuel pump or crankshaft position sensor), only to find out the car has just lost its sync.

I never had that happen on mine, ever did some pretty mad stuff too.
The only time it wouldn't start with no dash message was when the fuse box died

My electrics seem to work fine. The Hankook battery is tough, too.

I’m hoping the Nanocom arrives before Friday as the garage is next free in the new year.

I’ve got my new compressor and front airbags to have my off-roading fun!

The only issues i had, it would randomly cut out or not start, sometimes the front left and front right lights didn't work but it took me a while to notice that as i wasn't driving in the dark.
Everything else was fine
The issue with the fuse box 2 of the 3 connections underneath were slightly loose

Fuel pressure check and spark are free fixes.

Good luck let us know what you find. and if its long term car then the investment will be worth it.

Did you check the Landyzone International Rescue map?

I don't have the Thor modules but I think @kermit_rr did, although where his Nanocom went when he sold his P38A I don't know.

Whereabouts in Birmingham are you.
I'm in that area tomorrow briefly but I would have to dig out my nanocom first as I haven't used it in 4 years or so.
I'm going to be west Bromwich way if that's close enough?

Hey mate,

I’m around 30mins from West Brom.

I’ll ping you a message.

Hence suggesting a check of the fuse box. Sniff test plus check the posts underneath.

Or it could be cps as already mentioned.

If the sparks smell of fuel then pump should be ok. You can press on the Schrader valve and see if there's any pressure too

If it cranks then it passes all the sync/security checks and you might have an ignition/coil-pack/CPS problem?
If it fails security then it just comes up with "Engine Disabled" on the dash (AFAIK). :(

I think the Thor probably still cranks when the EMS code is out of sync. The diesel certainly does with no message on the dash. Message on the dash is usually fob sync issue or EKA required.
