I prefer to think of it as a form of behaviour modification programme.

I am helping Deasy learn to be a better citizen and not break the law and in order to do that I am using operant conditioning and establishing punishment as a concept ,to then allow for negative reinforcement which leads to deasy becoming a law abiding member of society :p:D

err err,ok then.if you say so.:D:D

I was on my way home tonight south down the 217 near tadworth southwards and a tree had fallen on the northside blocking the road, i was in the transit so i thought id go get the disco and pull it off the road as i wasnt far from home, so i got back there and asked the rozzers if i could help, he said sure that would be fab so got the yellow flashing lights out but just as i was about to get the strops out the highways guys turned up with a hiab, so the rozzers said thanks but we dont need you now lol, was a bit gutted as i wanted to show off lol

Also bear in mind that manhold covers can be forced off during flooding when drains are overflowing. I wouldn't want to drop a wheel into one of those at any speed.

I fell through a manhole this summer. It wasn't a pleasant experience.
Earned some rather nasty scars and couldn't walk properly for two weeks. :(

you was doing well till flashing light part ,ffs yellow lights should be banned unless you are a real recovery driver

To be honest, I can almost see the rozzers glancing at each other, smirking and rolling their eyes as the yellow flashing light was put on. I think, if it were me, I would just stick my hazard lights on and leave it to the rozzers in attendance keep the area clear.

Good on the chap for turning up to help out though.

why?

yer talking out yer arse

how about all the other vehicles that use them...... some because the law says they have to
obviously those whose work requires them a friend of mine move static homes ,he uses them etc,but on the off chance a set of circumstances will arise

Assuming that you met the criteria for using the amber beacons in the first place you would then need to turn em off again if a police vehicle is situated behind you protecting your rear. Due to people's eyes being drawn to all the flashing lights at the scene of an incident the latest protocol is for only the front and rear marker vehicles to have their lights on in order to prevent any further incident.
