Anyone have an unlocked BECM? Help please

Hello all, does anyone know where I can get an unlocked BECM? for my 97 diesel RR And what do I need to do when I get one. I had the problem of the wipers, heater, windows and sunroof (not that I need the sunroof right now) but after lots of good advise form you guys, unfortunately it still doesn't work.

I took the car to the dealer and the computer says no! According to them it is the dreaded BECM and at 1690 euros (just for the BECM). I have heard you can get an unlocked BECM but I dont know where from. And I dont know what to do with it when I have one. Do I just fit it and thats it? Or does that get reprogramed too? And do I need the mechanic from the starship enterprise to do the work? Please help and if you know of one for sale please let me know. I have tried the cheaper option before when I bought a key from ebay. That didnt work either. If you know of one please send me a text and I will call you back. Thank you..... so would an unlocked becm cure a multitude of common issues,removing things like the immobliser etc?

like the answer that was given earlier,get in touch with IRISHROVER,he is the bees knees when it comes to BECM problems.if he cannot help you,there is another forum member called rick the pick who also does the becm magic.no you do not need any special tools to fit it in the car,just normal sockets etc.plus when you fit the fixed one it will start straight out of the box,so to speak.if you have any trouble contacting irishrover get back in touch and i will ring him for you.

Thank you, there are good people on here you know. I think all roads lead to him anyway because I went through somewhere else and I got to Rick. This site works well. The dealer didnt seem to know much about it but people on here do. Thanks again and have a good weekend... .......

thank you,you also.this forum is incredibly helpful,if you go with the flow and dont take anything that is sais to personal you will get along fine.you can ask a question and you will get an answer,maybe not immediatly but you will get one.

I beleve that buying a key from fleebay is a VERY BIG no no as its not programed to your RR and never can be, has to come from your local land rover stealer at a massive mark up, well over £100 i beleve. Irishrover did my Becm he came to my home never had a problem sinse, get plenty of biscutes and tea comming though, or if your in no hurry (single malt wisky) and he will be your friend forever

Never heard of this one before to sync your keyfob to your range rover.

1.1
Close all of the vehicle's doors and windows. Lock and unlock the driver's side door with your key.

2.2
Enter the vehicle's driver's seat and close the driver's side door behind you.

3.3
Insert your key into the ignition and leave it there until the security light turns on.

4.4
Leave the key in the ignition for 15 seconds with the security light on, and then press the brake pedal five times.

5.5
Wait for the security light to turn off and remove your key from the ignition. Open the driver's side door to end the programming sequence.

check ya fuse box first i thought i had becm probs an it turned out to be my fuse box under bonnet an faulty drivers door lock

ok,it will more than likely have an H on it meaning HIGHLINE,therefore it can be altered for upgrading to leccy seats etc.
