Not seen these before. They are 17's on 235/65 tyres. The wheels/tyres i have at the moment are 255/55/r18.

Considering buying these as they have good tyres but wondered if anyone has them and could show me a pic, or know what the wheels are called?

Not sure how they would look!

They look like Hurricanes. Only 16" & 18" are homologated on the P38. you would need to check the PCD and the may need spigot rings and different wheel nuts.

The rolling radius is identical. The PCD is correct. But why would anyone fit narrow tyres on a P38. It will look anemic.

I have the exact same wheels (18 inch) on my P38, thought they were Hurricanes. Also got a set of the same wheels & tyres but 17 inch

Is the part number not cast on the inside of them?

If they are off a Disco they may not be the same. The Rangie ones hang with no bolts. Some Disco ones don't! Also, although the Disco ones are similar they have very little clearance between the wheel and the brake caliper. Also, the bolts are smaller. Give me Rangie ones anyday.

Hi, got them exact wheels on mine, it's what the car was fitted with when I purchased it. PO told me they came of a disco. If you fit them you will need smaller bolts and also spigot rings. Have a look at mine on my home page, although they look good have been advised by some senior members that I should change them for either 16 or 18 inch so when funds allow will invest in some 18s.

Early 2.5 DT's were fitted will 235/55 x16 as standard.

That is possibly because Land rover maybe had thousands of 235 tyres left over from the classics. It's cheaper to have 7J wheels made, fit those and use the stock up. That is a possible reason. They didn't fit 8J wheels and 255 tyres to later models for the fun of it.
