Anyone carried out a side exit exhaust conversion?

Actually its not. It doesnt seem any diff to how it was only the cherry bomb makes it a little more throaty. I smokes for a while longer than it used to though. i guess the reduction in length is allowing everything to flow quicker and its overfuelling. seems to burn it when up to temp though.

the cherry i got is a straight through too, so you could just run a straight through system i suppose, if not just stick a small silencer box inline. Im sure your son inlaw/brother in law will be able to help with MOT. I think it has to be less than 100db at 3m... i read that somewhere, might be complete cock though. But mine doesnt seem any louder than a standard setup really.

haha. to be honest, ive spent more time preparing it than driving it! I only got it 2 months ago and it was still stock. so im trying to upgrade it before i go to morocco in October. The exhaust didnt really need doing, but i wanted to move it incase i decide to get a rear mounted aux tank. also my mate just bought a 300tdi with an iffy exhaust so i said he could have my mid and tail sections for free. So i just had to do it sooner rather than later!

dont know if its special. it came from an exhaust place and its stainless. only needed about 800mm with a 23" cherry bomb in the way :D
